Age Limit for NEET UG 2025

1. Minimum Age: 17 Years (as on 31st December 2025)
2. Maximum Age: No Upper Age Limit (as per NMC guidelines)
3. Note: Candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2025 to be eligible for NEET UG 2025.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET UG 2025

Educational Qualification:

• Candidates must have passed or appeared in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
• General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% aggregate in PCB.
• SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates must secure a minimum of 40% aggregate in PCB.
• PWD candidates must secure a minimum of 45% aggregate in PCB.
  
  

Nationality:

• Indian Citizens, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and Foreign Nationals are eligible.
• NRI/OCI/Foreign candidates should verify eligibility criteria from respective colleges.
  
  

Number of Attempts:

• No limit on the number of attempts.
• Candidates can appear for NEET UG as long as they meet the age and qualification criteria.

Selection Process for NEET UG 2025

Step 1: Online Registration

• Candidates must register on the official NTA NEET website: neet.nta.nic.in.
• Complete the application form by providing personal details, educational qualifications, and uploading required documents.
• Pay the application fee online through debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.
  
  

Step 2: Admit Card Release

• Candidates who have successfully registered will be issued an admit card on the official website.
• Admit card contains details such as exam center, exam date, and important guidelines.
  
  

Step 3: NEET UG 2025 Examination

• The exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen & paper-based).
• Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology).
• Total Marks: 720 | Number of Questions: 180

Step 4: Answer Key & OMR Sheet Display

• NTA will release the answer key and scanned OMR sheets after the exam.

• Results will be declared on the NTA NEET website.
• Scorecard will display total marks, subject-wise marks, and All India Rank (AIR).
  
  

Step 6: Merit List & Counseling

• Merit lists will be prepared based on NEET UG scores.
• 15% All India Quota (AIQ): MCC will conduct centralized counseling.
• 85% State Quota: Respective state authorities will handle the counseling.
• Candidates will be allotted seats based on rank, choice of colleges, and category.

Mode of Examination:

• The exam will be conducted in Offline Mode (Pen and Paper-based).

Medium of Question Paper:

• The exam will be available in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
• Candidates opting for English will get the question paper only in English.
• Candidates opting for Hindi or other regional languages will get a bilingual question paper (English + Selected Language).

• Candidates must carefully read the OMR Sheet Instructions before marking answers.
• Once an answer is marked on the OMR sheet, it cannot be changed.
• All calculations should be done in the provided rough sheet; candidates are not allowed to bring calculators or log tables.
