NEET UG 2025 is the national-level entrance exam for admission to MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, and other medical courses across India. The exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in offline mode (pen & paper-based). Eligible candidates must complete the online application process within the given dates.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET UG 2025
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed or appeared in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
- General category candidates must secure a minimum of 50% aggregate in PCB.
- SC/ST/OBC-NCL candidates must secure a minimum of 40% aggregate in PCB.
- PWD candidates must secure a minimum of 45% aggregate in PCB.
Nationality:
- Indian Citizens, NRIs, OCIs, PIOs, and Foreign Nationals are eligible.
- NRI/OCI/Foreign candidates should verify eligibility criteria from respective colleges.
Number of Attempts:
- No limit on the number of attempts.
- Candidates can appear for NEET UG as long as they meet the age and qualification criteria.
Selection Process for NEET UG 2025
Step 1: Online Registration
- Candidates must register on the official NTA NEET website: neet.nta.nic.in.
- Complete the application form by providing personal details, educational qualifications, and uploading required documents.
- Pay the application fee online through debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.
Step 2: Admit Card Release
- Candidates who have successfully registered will be issued an admit card on the official website.
- Admit card contains details such as exam center, exam date, and important guidelines.
Step 3: NEET UG 2025 Examination
- The exam will be conducted in offline mode (pen & paper-based).
- Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (Botany & Zoology).
- Total Marks: 720 | Number of Questions: 180
- Duration: 3 Hours (02:00 PM - 05:00 PM)
Step 4: Answer Key & OMR Sheet Display
- NTA will release the answer key and scanned OMR sheets after the exam.
- Candidates can challenge the answer key by paying a prescribed fee.
Step 5: NEET UG 2025 Result Declaration
- Results will be declared on the NTA NEET website.
- Scorecard will display total marks, subject-wise marks, and All India Rank (AIR).
Step 6: Merit List & Counseling
- Merit lists will be prepared based on NEET UG scores.
- 15% All India Quota (AIQ): MCC will conduct centralized counseling.
- 85% State Quota: Respective state authorities will handle the counseling.
- Candidates will be allotted seats based on rank, choice of colleges, and category.
NEET UG 2025 Exam Pattern
Mode of Examination:
- The exam will be conducted in Offline Mode (Pen and Paper-based).
- Candidates must use a ballpoint pen to mark answers on the OMR sheet.
Exam Duration:
- Total Duration: 3 Hours (180 Minutes).
- Exam Timing: 02:00 PM - 05:00 PM (Indian Standard Time).
Number of Questions & Marking Scheme:
- Total Questions: 180 (All are multiple-choice questions).
- Each question carries 4 marks.
- Correct Answer: +4 marks.
- Incorrect Answer: -1 mark (Negative Marking applies).
- Unanswered Question: No marks (0).

Medium of Question Paper:
- The exam will be available in 13 languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
- Candidates opting for English will get the question paper only in English.
- Candidates opting for Hindi or other regional languages will get a bilingual question paper (English + Selected Language).
Important Points:
- Candidates must carefully read the OMR Sheet Instructions before marking answers.
- Once an answer is marked on the OMR sheet, it cannot be changed.
- All calculations should be done in the provided rough sheet; candidates are not allowed to bring calculators or log tables.
