Eligibility Criteria for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2026
Science Subjects
- Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English with a
minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- OR Passed a three-year Diploma Course in Engineering
(Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation
Technology/Information Technology) from a recognized Polytechnic institute with 50%
marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English (in Diploma or 10+2, if
English was not a subject in the Diploma Course).
- OR Passed a two-year Vocational Course with non-vocational subjects such as Physics and Mathematics
with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English (in
Vocational Course or 10+2, if English was not a subject).
Other Than Science Subjects
- Passed Intermediate/10+2/Equivalent examination in any stream/subjects with a minimum of 50%
marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- OR Passed a two-year Vocational Course with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and
50% marks in English (in Vocational Course or 10+2, if English was not a subject).
Note:
- Candidates eligible for Science Subjects are also eligible for Other Than Science Subjects and may
appear for both exams in one sitting.
- The exact aggregate percentage of marks as written in the mark sheet will be considered (e.g., 49.99% will be treated as 49% and not rounded off).
Selection Process for Agniveer Vayu Exam 2025
The selection process for Agniveervayu Recruitment 2026 involves the following phases:

Phase-I: Online Test
- For Science Subjects: 60 minutes (Physics, Mathematics, and English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus).
- For Other Than Science Subjects: 45 minutes (English, Reasoning, and General Awareness).
- For Both Science and Other Than Science Subjects: 85 minutes (Physics, Mathematics, English, Reasoning, and General Awareness).
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer.

Phase-II: Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and Adaptability Tests
- PFT-I: 1.6 km run in:
- 7 minutes for male candidates.
- 8 minutes for female candidates.
- PFT-II: Includes exercises such as push-ups, sit-ups, and squats.
- Adaptability Test-I: Written test to assess the candidate's suitability for varied geographic and operational conditions.
- Adaptability Test-II: Test to evaluate the candidate's ability to adapt to military
life.

Physical Eligibility for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2026
Height Requirements:
- Male Candidates: Minimum height should be 152 cm.
- Female Candidates: Minimum height should be 152 cm.
- Relaxation: Candidates from North-East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand are eligible
with a minimum height of 147 cm, and candidates from Lakshadweep are eligible with a minimum height
of 150 cm.
Weight:
- Weight should be proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.
Chest (For Male Candidates):
- Minimum chest circumference: 77 cm.
- Minimum chest expansion: 5 cm.
Hearing:
- Normal hearing is required, i.e., the ability to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters
by each ear separately.
Dental:
- Should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
General Health:
- The candidate should be physically and mentally fit to perform duties in any part of the world, in any climate or terrain.
- No active or latent, acute or chronic medical or surgical disability, or communicable diseases.
- Free from any infection, skin ailments, or deformity.
Special Requirements for Female Candidates:
- Female candidates must not be pregnant during the selection or training period. Pregnancy will lead to disqualification.
Salary Details for Agniveer Vayu Intake 01/2026
The salary structure for Agniveervayu under the Agnipath Scheme is as follows:
- 1st Year: ₹30,000 per month (In-hand: ₹21,000, Contribution to Seva Nidhi: ₹9,000,
Government Contribution: ₹9,000).
- 2nd Year: ₹33,000 per month (In-hand: ₹23,100, Contribution to Seva Nidhi: ₹9,900,
Government Contribution: ₹9,900).
- 3rd Year: ₹36,500 per month (In-hand: ₹25,550, Contribution to Seva Nidhi: ₹10,950,
Government Contribution: ₹10,950).
- 4th Year: ₹40,000 per month (In-hand: ₹28,000, Contribution to Seva Nidhi: ₹12,000,

Seva Nidhi Package:
At the end of 4 years, candidates will receive a one-time Seva Nidhi package of approximately ₹10.04 lakhs (excluding interest), which includes their contribution and the Government's matching contribution.
