Selection Process for IOCL Junior Operator & Other Posts Recruitment 2025
Stages of Selection:
- The selection process consists of multiple stages, including a Computer-Based Test (CBT) and
a Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT) or Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).
1. Computer-Based Test (CBT):
- The CBT will have 100 objective-type questions with a total duration of 120 minutes.
- The exam will be conducted in English and Hindi languages.
- The CBT will include the following sections:
- For Junior Operator: Professional Knowledge, Numerical Abilities, Reasoning Abilities, and General Awareness.
- For Junior Attendant: Numerical Abilities, Reasoning Abilities, and General Awareness.
- For Junior Business Assistant: Numerical Abilities, Reasoning Abilities, General Awareness, and Basic English Language Skills.
- There is no negative marking in the exam.
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (Relaxation of 5% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates).
2. Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT) / Computer Proficiency Test (CPT):
- Candidates shortlisted based on CBT performance (in a 1:3 ratio) will be called for SPPT/CPT.
- SPPT: Candidates applying for Junior Operator & Junior Attendant will be required to demonstrate their skills through practical tasks.
- CPT: Candidates applying for Junior Business Assistant must demonstrate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint by completing 30 tasks in 75 minutes.
- SPPT and CPT are qualifying in nature.
3. Final Selection & Merit List:
- The final selection will be based on the CBT score (subject to qualification in SPPT/CPT).
- A state-wise & category-wise merit list will be prepared based on CBT performance.
