Salary Details for UPPSC PCS 2025 Recruitment

Pay Scale:

The selected candidates will be offered a salary under different Pay Matrix Levels based on the post.
Group "A" Posts: ₹56,100 - ₹1,77,500 (Level-10)
Group "B" Posts: ₹47,600 - ₹1,51,100 (Level-8)
Other Allowances: House Rent Allowance (HRA), Dearness Allowance (DA), Medical Benefits, Travel Allowance (TA), and other perks as per Uttar Pradesh Government norms.

Selection Process for UPPSC PCS 2025 Recruitment

Stages of Selection:

Stage 1: Preliminary Examination
- Objective-type exam with two papers: General Studies-I and General Studies-II (CSAT).
- GS Paper-I: 150 Marks | CSAT (Qualifying) Paper-II: 100 Marks.
- Negative marking applicable for incorrect answers.
- Candidates qualifying Prelims will be eligible for the Mains exam.
Stage 2: Main Examination (Written)
- Descriptive-type exam with multiple papers.
- Subjects include General Hindi, Essay Writing, and General Studies.
- Total Marks: 1500 (excluding Interview).
- Minimum qualifying marks required to be eligible for the Interview.
Stage 3: Interview (Personality Test)
- Face-to-face interview conducted by the UPPSC board.
- Total Marks: 100.
- Assessment based on personality, communication skills, knowledge, and decision-making ability.
Stage 4: Document Verification & Final Merit List
- Verification of all educational and category-related documents.
- Final selection based on Mains exam marks + Interview performance.
- Final Merit List will be prepared and released by UPPSC.

Important Notes:

The Preliminary Exam is only for screening purposes. Marks obtained in Prelims will not be counted for the final merit list.
The Main Examination and Interview are the key deciding factors for final selection.
Only those who qualify for the Mains Exam will be called for the Interview round.

Exam Pattern for UPPSC PCS 2025 Recruitment

1️⃣ Preliminary Examination:

Mode: Offline (Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions).
Papers: Two Papers (General Studies-I & General Studies-II (CSAT)).
Total Marks: 200 Marks (GS-I: 150 Marks | CSAT: 100 Marks).
Time Duration: 2 Hours for each paper.
Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
CSAT Paper-II: Qualifying in nature (Minimum 33% marks required).

2️⃣ Main Examination (Written):

Mode: Offline (Descriptive/Subjective Type).
Papers: 8 Papers.
Total Marks: 1500 Marks.
Time Duration: 3 Hours for each paper.

Final Merit List is prepared based on Mains Exam Marks + Interview Marks.
